A good thought and a short story,

There isn’t much to say about us and that is because our story is not as delightful as the place itself, as the gentle nature of these lands.

We are two, Florin and Ramona; actually six, because we have four lively and smiling children. We are a normal, simple family from Arges County who loves beauty and people.

The love of nature, silence and the thought of thanking God for giving us everything (we always carry Him with us) led us to this idea – Dorul Pescarului.

We discovered this place around 2010. We were amazed since then by its tranquility and beauty. Without knowing why, we came back to this place a few times. Back then, there was nothing here, only the lake and its peace. After a while, in our thoughts sparked the idea of giving this place to those next to us. That is how we got in 2014 to lay the first bricks. It was difficult, because we were in a place without electricity, without water and, at the beginning, without an easy access way. We managed in small steps to build this refuge of peace.

Since 2018, after everything will be finished, we hope to really manage to give this place not only to those next to us, but also to those who love beauty and nature.

Without being a destination exclusively for those who love fishing, as the name may say, Dorul Pescarului is a place of silence, where nature, beauty and elements of Romanian traditional are harmoniously intertwined.
